Once Japanese police were busy

3rd July 2007

Japanese police have a lot of resources in terms of riot control. They have big vehicles with bar covered windows, and they practice a lot. I see this all the time because I live next to a large police station. I always wondered why, since street violence is extremely rare here in Japan. Found this video about student riots in the 1960s. Yes, in Japan! Guess the Japanese police use this video every year when the ask for next years funds. “Remember those riots in the 60s, give us money to buses with water cannons on top”
