In Asia there is this idea that western eyes are more pretty than Asian eyes. Many Asian women actually perform surgery on their eyelids to achieve that double fold that is considered a more western look.

Now you can buy this machine to do it yourself! I don’t know if it works the same way as cosmetic surgery but it should be cheaper and faster anyway. The line of beauty products for women here in Japan is just endless. This is just one of many odd products from one catalouge.

Apparently what this machine does is squeeze around the fat tissue around your eyelid to create an extra fold. I would assume it is similar to the surgical process, only here you have no stitches or cutting. Sounds a bit risky to me doing this to yourself, what if it goes wrong? Can you squeeze again?
