After the ban was lifted on American beef Japan slowly started eating it again. But since a Japanese inspection found spine in some meat bound for export nobody here eats American. I decided to check my nearby stores for American beef I admit it is hard to find. Neither my corner shop nor the prestigious Tokyu store had any. But when I checked at the discount chain “OK” there was some. Not a lot of it though, and this is actually pork and not beef. A few lonely pieces, kept separate from the Japanese meat and that from “Osutoraria” that make up the bigger part, but it was there! And the good news is that is is cheap!

So, ending this piece of consumer information. If you really want American meat, go get it at an OK store. You’ll get it at a good price, but hurry up, there is not much of it.
